To every
person who has lived a life suppressing your own same-sex attractions
for fear of retributions from family, from society, from religion, from
politics, STOP suppressing and start living.
Start living authentically BEFORE you destroy another person's life with your denial and self-imposed oppressions.
Don't get married in an attempt to "fix" yourself, or just because society dictates it.
Don't spend useless money on ex-gay therapies, books, sessions.
Don't worry about what people will think about you and your same-sex attractions, because nine times out of ten, they simply do not.
Don't turn your back on God, because He never turns His back on you for whom He has made you to be.
Do accept yourself as yourself and realize that you are important.
Do respect others in their time of coming to terms, because remember that it has taken time for you to come to terms with yourself.
Do enjoy a life lived authentically and honestly and openly.
Do realize that there are many friends and family and strangers who will include you into their circle simply because you have chosen to no longer live a lie.
Do share your story with others, because in doing so, you may end up helping another person discover the freedom of living authentically and free of lies.
